Sugar Cones

1 egg
¾ tsp. vanilla
3 TBSP water
¾ cup brown sugar
1 ½ TBSP melted butter

Combine all ingredients and beat until sugar dissolves. Add ½ cup flour and mix until smooth. Grease baking sheet, sprinkle with flour and pour 2 ½ TBSP batter unto a 6” diameter circle. Smooth out circle with bottom of a measuring cup. Bake 15 minutes or until firm at 300° F. Loosen from pan and bake 3 more minutes, until slightly brown. Cool slightly and roll into a cone, pinching the bottom or drape over a ceramic bowl to make a sugar cone bowl.

These are a little tricky but with a little practice it’s easy to know when the dough is cooked enough and how to shape the dough. Sugar cone bowls are easiest to form. If dough becomes too stiff to shape into a bowl, return to oven for 1 minute. If cones or bowls don’t turn out as planned, break up cone and use bits as an ice cream topping. They taste SO good they are definitely worth the work!

Yea, I made these and 2 out of my 3 batches(trays) came out great. Only one total colapsed cone. They even LOOKED right.
