Sweet Cornbread

1 ½ cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
¼ cup sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt

2 eggs
¼ cup butter
1 tsp. vanilla
½ cup applesauce
2 TBSP water

Combine dry ingredients, then mix with wet ingredients. Spread in greased 9x9 pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes. Freezes well.

Loved this recipe because it's quick, easy and freezes well. Cornbread is sweet and moist and is great topped with honey.
